MODULE 4:
FRAME VS FIELD
Given a limited space, how would you picture a story, written in text, within this very space? And how would you express them in pictures and notations? How do you express abstract concepts such as time flow, sounds and atmospheres?
You have a field - in this case the Old Quad in Unimelb - a story, and your imagination. How do things move, where do things happen, and how should you project them? Most importantly, if the story spans a long period of time and happens over a large area of land and/or a number of locations, can you still place them in such a field? Surprisingly, with notations, it's not that impossible.

Also, let's say you hold a camera, and you're able to walk among this abstract space, where would you take a picture, of what, and from what angle? This is where the understanding of perspectival projection is of paramount importance. With such an understanding, you would be able to recreate such pictures even if they may not necessarily be taken with a camera!
